Call for Tutorials
The Asian Conference on Machine Learning (ACML) 2025 organizing committee invites proposals for in-person tutorials on core machine learning topics or emerging areas relevant to the ACML community to be held alongside the conference on 12 December 2025 in Taipei, Taiwan.
Tutorials should be of broad interest, covering well-established research or practice. Proposals must demonstrate the topic’s significance to the community. Tutorials should be accessible to Ph.D. students from diverse ML backgrounds, including sufficient background material as needed. They should provide a balanced overview of the field, covering both established results and open challenges, rather than focusing on the presenters' own work or tools.
Format
Each accepted tutorial will be 2h30m (150 minutes) long. Tutorials will take place entirely in person. All participants are required to participate live.
Proposal Requirements
Tutorial proposals should be no more than two pages in 12-point font and submitted in PDF format. Each proposal should be clearly structured to provide the following information
- Title
- Abstract (up to 250 words)
- Description and outline: What material will the tutorial cover, and in what depth? Please provide a detailed outline.
- Goals: What are the objectives of the tutorial? What is the benefit to attendees? What are the expected learning outcomes?
- Presenters (min 1, max 3): Who are the presenters? Please provide names, affiliations, email addresses, and short bios for each presenter. All presenters listed in the proposal are expected to attend.
- A list of the most important references that will be covered.
